Ghader Mansouri
My drawings are centered around a variety of different concepts. The visual references of the drawings are important to me from different aspects including the history of art, sociopolitical occurrences, daily life in border of Iran, and the nature of my birthplace which is a small town in Northwestern Iran as source of infinite images. All of them are somehow represented at the heart of the drawings. This collection in this exhibition is centered around concepts such as reflection, purification, the sky, light, reincarnation, death, and mirror. Each drawing is the inspiration for a bigger painting collection on which I have been focused for a recent year.
